- Announcing our AI-powered Joint Solution
IntellAct is delighted to announce our AI-powered joint solution with aviation giant Indra , that will reduce departure delays, cut carbon emissions, and enhance passenger experience. Flight delays cost the aviation industry millions each year and continue to cause endless passenger frustrations. This collaboration promises to revolutionize how airlines manage disruptions, paving the way for a more efficient and sustainable future in air travel. Transforming Airport Operations with AI The joint solution uses IntellAct’s advanced AI middleware to monitor the aircraft turnaround process through existing CCTV systems. By integrating this data into Indra ’s Airport Operations Platform (AOP), the system delivers real-time alerts for service delays or safety violations, enabling swift, data-driven responses. This streamlined process ensures that minor issues don’t escalate into significant delays, helping airlines save time, fuel, and resources. A Win for Airports, Airlines, and the Environment Beyond immediate operational benefits, the system provides: Real-time aircraft turnaround updates. Post-operation insights for improved efficiency. Enhanced SLA (Service Level Agreement) management with ground handlers. Optimized airport stand and gate allocation. By cutting delays, the solution also has a positive environmental impact. Reduced waiting times lead to lower fuel consumption and significant carbon emission reductions, supporting the aviation industry’s transition toward greener practices. Proven Innovation Backed by Experience The collaboration builds on the success of the SESAR project, an EU-funded initiative where IntellAct and Indra tested their intelligent video analytics technology. The results showcased the potential of AI to redefine aviation operations, setting a benchmark for future industry standards. IntellAct's CEO, Udi Segall said about the move: “In the world of aviation, where every second costs, harnessing the power of AI is vital for airlines and airports and so we are incredibly excited to be involved with Indra on this project, which brings to life the outcomes of years of pioneering technological development” Lidia Muñoz Perez, Director of Technology, Digital Transformation and Mobility at Indra, endorsed the solution, saying, "This groundbreaking approach is revolutionizing airport management, setting a new standard for efficiency and transforming the future of air travel." - Shaping the Future: Plug and Play Alberta Summit
In a major milestone, IntellAct has been accepted into the prestigious Alberta Plug and Play Accelerator Alumni , marking a significant step forward in our mission to revolutionize the aviation industry. Udi Segall meeting Lan Tan - Leader of Alberta Innovates IntellAct, along with a cohort of other start-ups, participated in a series of networking events, workshops, and mentoring sessions across a 12-week program, aimed at refining our product, securing pilot programs, and attracting investors. Showcasing Innovation at the Plug and Play Alberta Summit The journey through the Plug and Play Accelerator Programme culminated at the Plug and Play Alberta Summit , November 13-14th 2024 at The Pomeroy in Kananaskis. This first-of-its-kind event in Alberta featured demos, pitches, and roundtables across industries such as Digital Health, Sustainability, AI, and Food & Beverage. IntellAct's CEO, Udi Segall participated in an engaging panel discussion moderated by Anne-Louise Brooks from WestJet and Adolfo Klassen from Paladin AI, where he explored the transformative role of AI in the airline industry and the evolution of Smart Ramp technologies. Udi says: "After 12 intensive weeks of virtual collaboration, it was fantastic to finally meet in person with the Alberta Plug and Play team, Alberta Innovates (Lan Tan), and my cohort of fellow AI entrepreneurs at the stunning Kananaskis Mountain Lodge. The highlight for me was participating in the panel discussion. The audience brought some thought-provoking questions to the table, including: How can we make travel less stressful? (My answer: by making it more predictable.) Robots, autonomous vehicles, and even autonomous planes—how far are we from these becoming reality? Given the conservative nature of the industry, can AI be used as an evolutionary tool rather than a revolutionary one? The energy in the room and the depth of conversation were truly inspiring. It’s clear that AI holds incredible potential to reshape the way we travel, and I’m excited to be part of these critical discussions. With the support of Plug and Play’s vast ecosystem, IntellAct is poised to make a significant impact on the aviation industry." Read the Plug And Play press release here …
